Saturday, January 23, 2010, Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens Pet Adoption Event: The Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens is proud to announce its 4th Annual Pet Adoption Event. This year the event will be held on Saturday, January 23, from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. in the main parking lot of the Jacksonville Zoo and Gardens, so there is no entry fee. The purpose of the event is to find loving, responsible, pet owners for our area’s homeless dogs and cats. Animal adoption and rescue agencies along with B.A.R.C. volunteers and dogs will be available to give you more information on their organization. There will also be prize drawings, an appearance from Jazoo and wolf conservation activities. Bring the family!

Sunday, January 31, 2010, Stacy "The Muttman" Moore Training Workshop: Stacy "The Muttman" Moore, dog psychology expert and trainer with more than 30 years experience is coming to Jacksonville! Stacy has worked producing shows for Disney World and Six Flags. Sign up for Stacy's dog training workshop and he will donate 30% of all proceeds to Boxer Aid & Rescue Coalition.
