Mars got lucky when rural homeowners noticed him living in the woods near their house. Though he was too fearful to be caught, he would eat and drink from bowls that were left out. The home owners contacted BARC to rescue him. Since then, he has been thriving in his foster home and gaining some much needed weight.
Two to three year old Mars is such a clown, he loves to run and jump and play with his foster brothers. He loves his toys too, but would rather play keep-away than an honest game of fetch. In the evening he likes to sit close and put his head in his foster mom's lap as he drifts off to sleep. Mars likes to go for rides in the convertible and happily leans out to let the wind blow in his face.
Mars is housebroken and knows sit, he is working on stay and come. He gets along great with the other dogs in the household and did well when a 5 year old came to visit. He was very excited to play but did not knock her over.
Mars is having a great time in his foster home, but what he really wants is a family of his own to love. To get the ball rolling fill out our online adoption application today.
Mars is being fostered by Bryan in Tallahassee, FL.
