New Video! Chewy
We know Chewy is a beautiful young dog. We know that almost everyone will take one look and fall in love. We also know that it will be a special person who will end up being able to adopt him. You see, Chewy has special needs. First and foremost, he needs an experienced pack leader to continue the training he has already received, helping him to become a calm, balanced dog. The successful applicant needs to understand dog behavior and be able to articulate what it means to be a pack leader.
In addition, the successful applicant will need to commit to providing an escape-proof crate for Chewy, since he has severe separation anxiety. Progress has been made with his behavior, but more progress would be helpful. Chewy needs to go to a home where someone is home most of the time, so that crate time is minimal; a fenced yard and other dogs in the home would be ideal.
For the person who can commit to ongoing training, the rewards will be great. Two-year-old Chewy weighs 75 lbs.; he is housebroken, knows basic commands, does well on a leash and loves car rides. He is wonderful with kids, other dogs and even the bunny in his current foster home. He is intelligent, loves to please and is an awesome dog once you gain his trust.
If you think you can provide the type of home that Chewy needs, please complete our online adoption application. For more information, email us at email@example.com or call 877-633-2108. Chewy is being fostered by Stephanie in DeBary, FL.
