Emmett is a 2 year old energetic and playful Boxer boy. He just loves other dogs and actually seems to prefer them to people sometimes - he will box with his Boxer siblings for hours until they are all tuckered out! At least everyone's getting good exercise! You may notice that Emmett was born with a defect in his jaw that makes it a little crooked so his tongue hangs out the side and that he has a snaggle tooth. We find it an adorable and endearing quality to this boy who is already just so cute, and know it's hard to take Emmett seriously when he stares at us with that side-tongue hanging out! Emmett has a unique and quirky personality too - he brings lots of laughter and joy to our household everyday with his funny expressions and silly personality. It's sometimes like he's always looking to us for approval and answers - we wish we could speak his language and tell him what a good boy he is!

While Emmett does love other dogs and is doing great in his foster home (he obeys all our commands and is a very sweet boy) he is, at this time, wary of strangers, especially small children. We are working on socializing him to move past these fears, and he has already shown great improvement. Since Emmett is high energy and likes to play rough (which his foster siblings love, but people sometimes don't) we recommend that Emmett not go to a home with children. Also, since Emmett is such a young boy looking for good guidance and leadership in life, we hope he can be adopted by a family or person that has experience with Boxers - really one that will "show him the rules" and not spoil him (just yet). Emmett is a total follower who responds very well to rules and commands, and is a calm gentleman on the leash. So, anyone interested in a Boxer that wants to just do whatever you say would really be a great fit for Emmett's forever home. Hi I am Audrey. I am a sweet and loving 6-7 year old boxer girl. I am potty trained and know basic commands like come, sit, etc. I am heartworm negative and ready to go to my new home!! Audrey is a very loving gentle girl. She gets along with old guys like our senior male boxer and the two mischevious females in dog clothing that let us share their digs and let us not forget Jackson the beagle/jack russell mix that steals her food if I turn my back. She actually tolerates these food raids with just barks to alert me to his antics.

She minds well and is not at all destructive. She enjoys playing with her toy and is always up for a cuddle. She likes to be near you and will lay at your feet or beside you on the sofa with her head in your lap. Her favorite thing is you. Meet Bingo!! He is around 5-6 months old and so so adorable. He loves to cuddle up with his foster brothers or anyone that will give him some love. He is crate trained and walks right in like a good boy when you point to the crate. He was found as a stray with his buddy Sparky. He is fully vetted and ready to find that loving home he deserves. This is Kewpie, one of Giselle's puppies born November 9. She has turned into a gorgeous girl with 2 blues eyes!!! We believe she is deaf and is the vocal one of the bunch. She is a VERY smart girl and is already starting to whine when she needs to go outside. She learned the hand signal for sit already and we will continue to work with her. Giselle is a 1-2 year old little girl that was picked up as a stray EXTREMELY pregnant and delivered just a short few days later in the shelter one day before BARC pulled her into a foster home. She got VERY sick and had to have emergency surgery after her delivery. She is fully recovered now. Giselle is one of the sweetest dogs EVER! She gets along well with all dogs and even doesn't mind cats. She loves her belly to be rubbed and appreciates any affection. She sleeps at night cuddled up with one of the children. She is housebroken and crate trained.She is heartworm positive and will be treated as soon as possible. Giselle is being fostered by Shanon and Cam in Jacksonville.
