Foster Homes: Fostering a rescue Boxer is vital to our work. Most often we encounter Boxers with health issues and/or Boxers that we have no historical information such as personality, temperament and "baggage". The foster home is where the Boxer is nursed back to health, taught to trust again, temperament tested and provided with basic (and sometimes extended) training. If you think you might be interested in fostering for B.A.R.C., please complete our Foster Application.
Transportation: We often need assistance transporting Boxers to and from vet appointments, from shelters to foster homes and sometimes when longer distances are involved participating in longer transports as part of the CUR (Canine Underground Railroad) system.
Fundraising and Event Staffing: We are always looking for folks to help with fundraising activities and ideas. We rely 100% on donations and adoption fees so fundraising is crucial to our organization. Some events that would need staffed would be tables at pet supply stores, dog washes, pet fairs and more.
Application Workers: We often need people to help process incoming applications by doing home visits or following up on references.
Professional Services: B.A.R.C. is always in need of professionals willing to donate their time. Contractors, designers, veterinarians, groomers are all needed.
